Pool Coping Replacement

A New Edge for Your Pool

Coping is the cap that runs along the edge of the pool. It frames the water, protects the top of the pool wall, and is one of the first things people notice about a pool.

When coping is cracked, loose, or dated, replacing it can make the whole pool look new. Coping replacement is often planned together with new waterline tile and a new interior finish.

Visit our showroom to compare coping from precast to porcelain and talk through your options.

Replacing Pool Coping

Signs Coping Needs Replacing

Cracked, loose, or chipped coping, failing joints, and stones that have shifted or become uneven are common reasons to replace coping. Many owners also replace coping simply to update the look of the pool.

Choosing Coping Material

Our showroom displays coping from precast to porcelain, in a range of styles, colors, and finishes. Consider color, texture, how warm it gets in the sun, and how it works with your waterline tile and plaster.

Coping, Tile, and Plaster Together

Coping and waterline tile meet at the edge of the pool, so they are often replaced together. Doing coping, tile, and plaster at the same time keeps the project coordinated and the finished look consistent.

Pool Coping FAQs

Common questions about replacing pool coping. Have a question that is not listed? Call us or visit the showroom.

Sometimes, but removing coping can disturb the waterline tile just below it. Many owners replace both at once for that reason. Ask us about your pool and we can talk through the options.

It depends on the look you want, your budget, and how the material holds up to sun, water, and foot traffic. Visit the showroom to compare options and talk through what fits your pool.

Ask us. Bring photos of your deck and we can help you choose coping that matches or complements it, along with your waterline tile.
